STRAIN PROFILE East Coast Endo
East Coast EndoWe all know the West Coast gets most of the attention when it comes to cannabis, but this potent combo of Diesel and Cheese might end up shifting some of that bias a little towards the East.
These kinda things don’t happen overnight, though, and the emergence of this strain was no happy accident. It’s the result of a meticulous breeding program that required a great deal of time, effort and patience. Luckily it all paid off – this incredibly aromatic hybrid was definitely worth waiting for. Its intensely uplifting nature is great in group settings and is sure to end in many laughs being shared between friends (and maybe just as many snacks being shared, too).
If you’re in the mood to mellow out but you don’t want to descend into couch-lock, then we promise you’re about to discover your ideal bud. It’ll keep things nice and chilled, but you’ll still maintain a nice, tranquil energy that’ll help you get stuff done around the house. After a few puffs of this plant, household chores seem like the most enjoyable prospect in the world. We can guarantee that boredom and mundanity cease to exist whenever it’s on the menu, and if you don’t believe us, then why not try it for yourself?
How? You might ask. By growing your own plant from these awesome new seeds, of course! At United Strains of America, we specialize in offering top-shelf genetics at affordable prices, and this strain is no exception. You don’t need to be an expert either. This one is so easy to work with that newbies can come across as cannabis cultivation connoisseurs. Just sit back and let the feminized seeds work their magic!
If you’re unsure what ‘feminized’ seeds means, then allow us to educate you. Cannabis plants can be male or female, but unless you’re planning to breed, you’ll likely have no need for the males. They can be pesky, too, because if they accidentally get jiggy with the females then you’ll get seeded buds which can be harsh and unpleasant to smoke. This means, if you’re growing regular seeds, you have to very carefully identify, segregate and remove the male plants before accidental pollination has a chance to occur. Take it from us – if you don’t know what you’re doing, this process can be longwinded, arduous and, quite frankly, a pain in the ass. The solution? Choose feminized seeds! That way, you’ll get an all-female turnout 99% of the time which will save you heaps of time, money and effort.
While you might not have heard of East Coast Endo before, you’ve almost certainly heard of its mom and dad. Cheese and Diesel are both world-renowned classics, and they share many common traits. Both sport unique and distinct flavors and aromas (as evidenced by their respective names) with Diesel tickling the nostrils with its sweet yet sophisticated scent of petrol, and Cheese boasting a strangely enticingly sour fragrance. There are similarities in their effect as well: both strains bring waves of cerebral euphoria followed by a relaxing body high that’ll wash through you from your head down to your toes.
By putting the two together, the breeders have created a hybrid that offers the best of both worlds. They say chalk and cheese don’t go together, but Cheese and Diesel most certainly do! As soon as you catch a hint of this aromatic hybrid, you’ll be tempted into taking a hit. The savory smoke imparts an uplifting yet sublimely relaxing high that appears to defy the laws of physics. It’s a great companion for social gatherings, and capable of turning the shyest wallflower into the life and soul of the party.
You might expect there to be a hidden catch, but that’s just not the case with East Coast Endo. This incredibly resinous specimen is a pleasure to smoke, but it’s just as delightful to cultivate. It’s naturally robust and effortless to work with, and even beginners should have no problem rearing it. It may sound too good to be true, but if you don’t believe us then why not try it for yourself?
How to Grow East Coast EndoAesthetically speaking, East Coast Endo is a real crowd pleaser. Its dense, trichome-laden buds are accentuated by lush, pale green foliage and fiery crimson pistils. If that’s not enough to pique your interest, you can bet your last buck that the thick coating of sticky resin will!
Because the buds are so dense, they tend to accumulate moisture, and mold spores just love a moist environment. Obviously, you want to try and avoid any degree of mold proliferation, so optimal humidity (between 40% and 50%) is an absolute must. There’s hope on the horizon, though: thinning out the thick foliage will improve air circulation, as will installing oscillating fans and an efficient ventilation system.
To boost growth and productivity, consider using the Screen of Green method. It’ll keep the plants shorter, and encourage lateral growth, multiple budding sites, and better yields. With enough care and sustenance, each square foot will produce about 1.96 ounces of resin-caked buds after 8 to 10 weeks of flowering. That’s more than enough to share with your best buddies, and plenty for months and months of happy toking!
Outdoor cultivation can be even more rewarding if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere with the right weather conditions. East Coast Endo loves a sunny, dry climate, similar to the Mediterranean. With plenty of sunshine to soak up, each plant could produce as much as 24 ounces of buds.
Flavor and Bouquet
In East Coast Endo, the unmistakable scents of cheese and diesel are melded together in a single bud. It combines the sourness of cheese with sweet notes of fuel to create an overwhelmingly pungent smell – on paper, it sounds like it shouldn’t work but, believe us, it really does! Flavor-wise, you’ll pick up strong notes of blue cheese, and a diesel aftertaste that lingers on the palate. All this is underscored by a subtle medley of lime, lemon and sweet tangerine.
